NEVER LOSE HOPE!

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Romans 12:12

Have you ever been in that place where you feel lonely, lost, disconnected, confused, or forgotten? In a place where it seems that God is not listening to you or speaking to you? Maybe you are there right now. Well, I have good news for you. I have been in that place too many times. Several times I wanted to quit..give up..throw in the towel. Well, I’m sure I may have even given up momentarily on several occasions. But there seems to be something inside me that says don’t quit, keep pushing through..hold on a little while longer..keep going. My heart holds on to HOPE!

What is Hope?

For in hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. Romans 8:24-25 (NIV)

Hope is looking forward to, trusting, or believing for something to happen (dictionary.com). Hope is looking forward to that breakthrough, miracle, or blessing that I cannot see, but I know is ahead. Basically hope is using my heart. Hope is more powerful that we can ever realize.

In whom do we put our hope?

I am counting on the Lord; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word. Psalm 130:5 (NLT)

Have you ever put your hope in someone or something, just to be disappointed when it did not turn out the way that you were expecting? Wait let me rephrase that question. How many times have you put your hope in someone or something, just to be disappointed when it did not turn out the way you were expecting. It is important that we learn to put our hope in God, and God only. We are able to maintain our peace when we continue to hope in God through all the trials. God gives us peace and joy when we place our hope in him, and him alone.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirt you may abound in hope. Romans 15:13 (NIV)

We must never lose hope in God, no matter how bad we see the circumstance/situation. God is with us.

It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed. Deuteronomy 31:8

God gives us strength, courage, and comfort while we hope in him. Our hope is strengthened when we continue to focus on the promises of God.

For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Romans 15:4 (NIV).

What is that you are hoping for?

Facing difficult circumstances/situations? DON’T LOSE HOPE!

Problems in your marriage/relationship? DON’T LOSE HOPE!

Problems on the job? DON’T LOSE HOPE!

Problems with your children? DON’T LOSE HOPE!

Financial STRESS? DON’T LOSE HOPE!

We can choose to give up or choose to continue to move forward in hope. We must not focus on the circumstances/situations/problems. It is with hope that we proceed with our faith.

LORD, you know the hopes of the helpless. Surely you will hear their cries and comfort them. Psalm 10:17 (NLT)

My prayer is that we continue to put our hope in God as we cry out to him in time of need. Surely he will answer.

HIS LOVE and MINE,

Shemeca
