Do you want to be consistent with studying your Bible daily?  Do you find it hard to keep up with daily devotions?  Do you find it easy to study one topic at a time, but do not know where to start.  Well I have just the thing for you.  Starting in August, I will be facilitating monthly scripture journaling write here on the website.  So, I know you are wondering, what is scripture journaling?  Scripture journaling is studying scripture(s) daily, by writing out the scripture(s), meditating on the scripture(s), and identifying how we can apply the scripture(s) to our lives.  Writing the scriptures helps us to take the time meditate on the scripture.  Now the writing process will look different for each of us.

Here are a few examples of methods that are used to study and meditate on scripture:

S.O.A.P. Method

Scripture-write out the scripture.

Observe-What key words did you observe?  What did you learn?

Application-How can you apply it to your life?

Prayer-write a prayer using the scripture and ask God to help you apply the scripture to your life.

 Simple Method:

Verse:                                                     What I Learned:

There are several other methods, but these are just a few.  Choose and use the method that works best for you.  We will study a different topic each month.  Each day we will journal, study, and meditate a different scripture that pertains to the topic of the month.  I am so excited to start this journey with you.  The topic for August is Prayer.  You can find the scriptures under the Topical/Bible Studies Tab.  Let’s get to work.  You can do this!!  I am cheering for you!!
