Can you believe it? We are already half way through 2017. Matter fact we are already half way through July 2017. How are you doing with the goals/plans that you set for this year? Have you reached any of your goals?
Now is a good time to review your list of 2017 goals. Now is a good time to review your vision boards.
Well I reviewed my goals and vision board. I have not done a good job with meeting my goals so far, this year. But here is what I have learned. I have learned that although it is important for us to set goals and make plans, we must be open to allowing God’s will to be done with our plans. I learned that goals, plans and dreams don’t necessarily happen the way we WANT or THINK that should happen. This is because God is control.
8) "For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor your ways my ways," says the Lord.
9)"For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9 (NKJV)
So now that we have reviewed our goal list or vision board and we realized that we have not quite met any of the goals. Well, now what do we do?
We pray. We ask God to reveal to us the necessary adjustments and changes that we need to make to move forward with obtaining our goals. Yes, it is ok for us to make the adjustments and changes needed. Life does NOT always go as expected or planned. We veer off the path for whatever reasons. And that is ok. The key is to adjust and/or make changes needed to get back on track.
5) Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
6) In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 (ESV)
So, here is what we are going to do. We are going to think back to when we set those goals at the end of last year or early this year. Think about the excitement, inspiration, and motivation that we felt. Think about the fire that was ignited in our heart. Let’s go back to that place. Let’s get that excitement back. Let’s get that fire back. Let’s get that inspiration back.
Don’t give up on your goals and plans for 2017. Don’t get or feel discouraged. Just think about what adjustments that need to be made and ADJUST.
We may have to fight to through feelings, emotions, and failed attempts to reach our goals. But I know that one thing is for sure.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)
Let us lean into God and let him be our guide. He will not steer us wrong. Even if we go the wrong way, God will still be there.
Let’s finish out this year strong, together.
I am cheering for you!!
Here are some things that I am going to add to my vision board.

HIS love and MINE,
