But the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God’s promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ. Galatians 3:22(NLT)

Through so many bad experiences from the past, I struggle with the fear of rejection and the fear of failure. Some of those bad experiences play constantly in my head when I allow it.
We all have those sins or struggles that replay repeatedly in our minds. Sometimes those “replays” can make us feel unworthy of God’s love and relationship. Faith in God, allows me to be free from the guilt of my past and future worries. Galatians 3:22, tells us, we receive God’s freedom only by believing. Jesus died and was raised from the dead so that we could be set free.
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1 (NIV)
We are not to be imprisoned by those “bondages of slavery” again. God does not want me to be caught up in my thoughts of being rejected or my thoughts of being a failure. As I grow in my relationship with God, my faith gets stronger. It is my faith in God that allows me to be free from the struggles of the fear of rejection and the fear of failure.
Having faith in God allows me to be free from worry because my faith gives me the freedom to know that no matter what situation or circumstance I may face, God will always be there for me. As my faith grows, so does my confidence in God. The closer I get to God the more I learn how to use my faith to rely on Him for my every need: physical, emotional, and spiritual.
In Him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. Galatians 3:12 (NIV)
It is through faith that I continue to remain free! God wants us to be free! Be free, my dear sister, be free! Know that God will take care of it all!
Reflection:
1) What steps can you take to grow your relationship with Christ to begin to walk in freedom or continue to walk in freedom?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for allowing us to be set free from our past sins and struggles. Thank You for freeing us from our negative thinking, worries, and situations. Father, as we continue to strengthen our relationship with You, please help us to rely on You so that we can continue to live in freedom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
