MECA's MARCH MINUTES

Writer: Shemeca RichardShemeca Richard

Hey sisters,

In a world that often seems chaotic and overwhelming, it’s easy to feel lost or afraid. But remember, this chaos is just an illusion. The enemy wants to distract us, but we can choose to focus on the One who will guide us through these tough times. God reassures us not to be afraid or discouraged because He is always with us.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9 NIV

This powerful verse reminds us that even amid our trials, faith can be our anchor.

The Truth of the Matter

Jesus' return is imminent, and it’s essential to ask ourselves: Are we ready? What steps are we taking to be prepared?

Preparation isn’t just about attending church or watching services online; it demands active engagement in our faith. As written in James 2:26 NKJV, “as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead.” This means we should take proactive steps to deepen our relationship with God and inspire others to do the same.

Drawing Closer to God

Want to draw closer to God this month? Here are two specific suggestions that can enhance your spiritual journey:

  1. Join the Women of Endurance Bible Study Group. This month, we’ll explore the book of Galatians. We meet every Sunday at 5 PM CST. Engaging with fellow women enhances our understanding and growth in faith. During our last session, 85% of participants reported feeling more connected to their faith community after just one meeting.

  2. Attend the 2nd Annual Women of Endurance Women’s Retreat from March 21st to March 23rd in Dickinson, Texas. If you can’t make it in person, don’t worry! We will live-stream the conference on Saturday so that everyone can participate, regardless of location. Last year, over 150 women attended, making it a truly uplifting experience.

Taking Action

When we pray for divine help, sometimes God is waiting for us to take that first step. What are you going to do next? Your move matters.

I encourage you to join us for these enriching events in March. God has great plans for our lives, but we must actively participate. This month presents an excellent chance to reflect on how we can bolster our faith and support one another.

Intentional Living

Living with intention is critical for growing in our relationship with God. This month, challenge yourself to weave prayer and reflection into your daily routine. Try setting aside specific times for prayer, such as early in the morning or before bedtime.

Additionally, remember to engage with others within your community. Share your insights, celebrate each other’s successes, and encourage one another in your faith journeys. We are called to uplift each other as sisters in Christ.

Ready for the Future

These chaotic times remind us we have the power to shape our spiritual lives through intentional actions. Whether it’s joining the Bible study group, attending the retreat, or dedicating time each day for prayer, every step counts.

God is walking alongside us, encouraging us to stay strong and courageous. Let us unite as we prepare for His glorious return. I am excited to witness how God will work in our lives this month and beyond.

Looking forward to seeing each and every one of you soon!

HIS LOVE and MINE,

Shemeca
